Hometown Roots. Honest Work. A Team Determined to Deliver.

Good work starts with good people. Here’s a little more about who we are.

Our Story

Fire-N-Ice was built on a simple idea: home service shouldn’t feel complicated, and it shouldn’t feel like you’re being taken advantage of.

With over 30 years of combined experience in HVAC and plumbing, our team has seen just about everything, and we’ve never lost sight of the fact that every job happens in someone’s home.

We treat your home like our own. We lay down tarps and covers to catch our mess, wear boot covers to avoid tracking, and clean up when we’re done. Our goal is simple: you shouldn’t be able to tell we were there, except that the problem is fixed.

We believe in honest pricing. We explain what actually needs to be done, and just as importantly, what doesn’t. You are never paying for more than you need. That’s the standard we’ve held ourselves to since day one, and it’s the same standard we’ll hold ourselves to in your home.

What Makes Us Different

When you call, you’ll talk to a real person, someone right here in your community, not a call center. We’ll tell you what’s wrong, what it costs, and what your options are, plain and simple. We’re not chasing a one-time job. We’re hoping to be the company you call for the next 20 years.

Warm Christmas

Every year around Christmas, we give back to the community that supports us. Through our Warm Christmas program, neighbors can nominate a family in need, and each year, we choose one recipient to receive a brand-new furnace, installed at no cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the job takes less than an hour, say 45 minutes, how much do I pay?

The first hour is billed as a flat rate, so a 45-minute job would still be charged the full $110 labor rate, plus the $30 truck charge, for a total of $140. The 15-minute increment billing only kicks in after that first hour, so shorter jobs are charged at the one-hour minimum.

Do you charge more for emergency or after-hours service?

Yes. After-hours and weekend service is billed at time-and-a-half. On select major holidays, like Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day, the rate increases to double time.

How do I know if I have a hidden leak?

A few common signs include a higher-than-usual water bill, damp spots on floors or walls, a musty smell, or the sound of running water when nothing’s turned on. If you notice any of these, it’s worth having them checked out. A hidden leak can cause serious damage the longer it goes unnoticed.

How often should I change my air filter?

The right interval depends on your filter type and how much traffic and activity your home sees. As a general guideline, Carrier recommends changing 1-inch fiberglass filters every 30 days, 1-inch pleated filters every 30 to 90 days, and 4-inch media filters every 6 to 12 months. Regular filter changes keep your system running efficiently and help avoid unnecessary strain.

What size furnace do I need?

Furnace size is measured in BTUs (British Thermal Units) per hour. A furnace that’s too small won’t heat your whole home, while one that’s too large can short-cycle, wasting energy and wearing out the system faster. We calculate the right size for your home based on square footage, insulation, and other factors, so you get the right fit the first time.

How often should I schedule maintenance for my heating and cooling system?

We recommend a furnace tune-up in the fall and an AC tune-up in the spring, once each per year. Regular maintenance helps catch small issues before they turn into costly repairs and keeps your system running efficiently all season long.

Do you offer emergency services?

Yes. Plumbing, heating, and cooling problems don’t always happen during business hours, so we offer emergency services for issues that can’t wait. Give us a call, and we’ll get you taken care of as soon as possible.
